My 52nd Birthday

This morning, I shared some of my birthday cake with my local Streatham & Brixton Friends Meeting House.

This afternoon a friend visited and gave me thirty pounds and a card for my birthday, so since I want to be very busy for the third anniversary of my mum's death - which is Saturday 26th October 2013.  I booked the 26th October 2013, Beyond Shame and The Quaker Way sessions of the Love Spirit Festival. In addition, I ordered two pairs of Amazon 'Rainbow Laces' for the 'No Homophobia In Sport' campaign. One for me and One for my beloved son James.
This evening, my beloved son, James gave me his gift of a box of chocolates and a birthday card and I gave him a portion of my birthday cake.
Then following, collecting my gift and card from my son. I stopped off at a friend's to enjoy some more birthday gifts, and a cup of tea with some chocolate cake.

Who Is Irredeemable?

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to spend the afternoon in Lewisham Shopping Centre, for the mental health conversation starter 'Can You Tell' exhibition campaign.

2013 World Mental Health Day Celebration

This evening, Coldharbour & Herne Hill Wards of the Dulwich & West Norwood Conservative Association are delighted to announce that we hosted the World Mental Health Day Celebration film screening [see flyer] at the Whirled Cinema [See photo of me in front of it's screen] - which is located in Coldharbour Ward.

Tonight's audience number for the film 'Changeling', eclipsed our previously hosted 'For The Bible Tells Me So' film screening, which was held earlier this year at the Ritzy Cinema, for the London Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Pride Day Celebration social.

In addition the audience engaged robustly  with questions during the questions and answers sessions from both Lara Carmona - Rethink Mental Health, as well as from, Nacho Diaz - Four In Ten.

Rethink Mental Illness is a Mental Health Charity and Four in Ten is a local, South London and Maudsley Psychiatric Hospital, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender, Mental Health Service User led group, which meets each week [See photo with from left to right Lara, Nacho & me.]
