We were supervised by 'Wesley'.

After my son purchased an airplane magazine from WHSmith, I purchased McDonald's meals and we took the bus to the Imperial War Museum.

May CameronThe Home Secretary, Theresa May, is to give the keynote speech at Stonewall's Workplace Conference, this spring.

The Stonewall Workplace Conference – which is supported by Barclays – takes place on 20 April at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London.

The event, a key event for diversity and HR leaders, shares cutting-edge good practice and thought leadership on sexual orientation issues with delegates.

Now in its eighth year, sessions include the importance of role modelling and what it takes to top the Workplace Equality Index and be named Employer of the Year for gay staff.

Stonewall Deputy Chief Executive Laura Doughty said: "The employers who attend the Workplace Conference know that people perform better when they can be themselves. Many of them are members of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme, which promotes best practice – but the conference is open to every employer who wants to learn how to get the best out of their people."

Other speakers this year include the Chair of Sports Wales, Laura McAllister and Stonewall Chief Executive Ben Summerskill. The Conference event will also hear from Beth Brooke, Global Vice Chair at Stonewall’s Employer of the Year 2012, Ernst & Young.

Ten Years, Ten Legends

Dear Dons Trust member:

2012 marks the tenth anniversaries of the Dons Trust and of AFC Wimbledon. So this year’s fundraising dinner, on Friday 23 March, will celebrate what we have achieved over the past ten years.

Our special guests will be ten players who have made a big and colourful contribution to the non-league years of AFC Wimbledon, covering every season from 2002/03 to 2010/11. They are:

  • Joe Sheerin
  • Kevin Cooper
  • Matt Everard
  • Keith Ward
  • Steve Butler
  • Andy Little
  • Luke Garrard
  • Jason Goodliffe
  • Jon Main
  • Ben Judge.

This will be a fascinating, entertaining and nostalgic evening, offering the opportunity to hear insights into the extraordinary rise of AFC Wimbledon from the lowest rung of senior football back to the Football League.

Tickets for the dinner are priced at £55 per person, or £500 for a table of ten. To secure your place, please apply to: Mark Davis, Friends of the Dons Trust, 20 Rayleigh Road, London, SW19 3RF, enclosing a cheque for the relevant amount, made payable to Kidd Rapinet Solicitors. Please also include: your name, postal address, email address (if possible), telephone number and any special dietary requirements.

For any enquires, email dinner@thedonstrust.org or leave a message for Mark Davis via the club on 020 8547 3528 . The proceeds of the evening will be donated to the Dons Trust’s fundraising budget.

We look forward to welcoming you to a very enjoyable evening on Friday 23 March.
